I am Enough

It is very easy to be inundated in your fears and insecurities when so much of our society is based around aspirational messages.

It is okay to have big dreams, goals, and ambitions. Where many people struggle is in balancing their hopes & dreams with feeling content with the present. Anxiety, depression, and stress can overwhelm your thoughts and emotions until you become bogged in a quagmire of reduced self-worth, and stuck in a self-defeating cycle of comparing your life to somebody else’s.

However, one basic phrase, I am enough, can provide you with a sense of calmness and happiness, transforming the direction of your life for the better

Your Well-being

The flow of energy throughout the human apparatus is important for your continued health and well-being. Gradually your energy pathways, typically described as meridians, can come to be clogged due to the accumulation of emotional blockages. An Expression of your Mind

Your life is an expression of your mind as your thoughts and ideas have cause and effect. For each thought or action, there is a reaction or impact. This is very comparable to the observations made by Newton when he penned his third law of motion. Realise that your thoughts and reactions all have consequences, there is always an effect even if you are not aware of it. Begin to take control of your thinking and reactions in life so that you only build beneficial energies.

Do the Social Media Detox

Spending some time out for a Social Media detox, may on the surface sound easy. Though for many of us, imposing a complete digital ban may not be practical nor sustainable. However, some basic guidelines such as no use of your smartphone or tablet in the first hour of the day, or after 9pm might be more attainable. In this way, you begin to develop self-regulated limits and begin to build a healthy relationship with social networks. If you are feeling more ambitious, you may decide to delete your favourite social media apps from your smart device for a weekend or even a full week.

Just Breathe!

Despite the fact that a number of us practise meditation or mindfulness, frequently we do not seem to have the time. It can become easy to fall into patterns of unconsciously rushing through life without ever being in the present. Walk it Off!!

If you are feeling stressed, taking a walk can generally reduce the pressure, and will frequently bring a new perception to the situation. The simple act of going for a walk, enables you to have a change of surroundings, often allowing you to be more cognisant or take a different point of view. As you take a walk, try to be aware of the sensations within your body, such as the motion of your feet or your breath. Avail yourself of the opportunity to take a walk, be more conscious, and refocus on the important things in life.

Win the Emotional Battle

Make every effort to let go of any unfavourable feelings and emotions so that they do not become a controlling factor in your life. Letting go of your emotions will enable you to become their observer, rather than being caught up in the ensuing battle. You can then control the outcome and your reactions, so that you attain victory over your emotions.

Retune your Mind

You may find that many challenges which seemingly arise in your life are due to your mind not adequately being tasked. Without a suitable focus, your mind can wander, often bringing forward unwanted thoughts, emotions and feelings. Through learning to retune your mind to a different frequency of thought, you can bring some focus and control into your life. With further practice, you will be able to change how you feel by ingenuously tuning in to a different frequency within your mind.
