Don’t Obliterate Happy Memories

As thoughts arise within your mind, they become energised, flowing out into the world in the words you speak or via your actions. When you think badly of others, then realise that your own thoughts can also injure you. So no matter what scenario you are in, or how aggrieved you are, you do not need to have the last word or symbolically win the argument. If you are upset, angry, or annoyed you may often find that your last words can often obliterate the wonderful intentions or the exceptional memories.

Understanding Mind Control

Few of us truly understand how the mind controls almost all aspects of our life. While many of us would recognise that it controls our thoughts, stop to think that it also controls your reactions and influences your emotions.

Rather than respond by sliding into pre-programmed patterns of thinking, excuses or emotional reactions, reclaim control. Regain control of your mind as you stop to choose how to think and respond or bring about a change.

Not Acting Negatively

Nowadays a great deal of emphasis is put on how bad negativity is; without comprehending it is how you act, which is the key. There is a natural circulation of energy from negative to positive to form a complete circuit as part of the circle of life.

So do not be down on negative things, realise they exist, but choose not to react in a deleterious way.

Finding Gaps Amongst your Thoughts

Sometimes, the more you try to calm or focus your thoughts, the more chaotic or disorganised they become. Finding the gaps amongst your thoughts can be an excellent means to help you relax and focus your mind. Even in a loud or disorderly mind, there can be gaps between your thoughts. So rather than trying to directly calm thoughts, find the gaps in between your thoughts. Then focus on these gaps, witnessing them grow larger. As the gaps grow larger, they will push your thoughts to the side of your mind, allowing you to achieve a calmer state of mind.

Retune your Mind

You may find that many challenges which seemingly arise in your life are due to your mind not adequately being tasked. Without a suitable focus, your mind can wander, often bringing forward unwanted thoughts, emotions and feelings. Through learning to retune your mind to a different frequency of thought, you can bring some focus and control into your life. With further practice, you will be able to change how you feel by ingenuously tuning in to a different frequency within your mind.

Whirlwind of Feelings

Many of us can become absorbed in our feelings and have restricted self-awareness as a result. You may have wondered how can meditation or similar practices assist in dealing with strong damaging emotions? The key is that many of these techniques provide a way to pause or moderate your thoughts and reactions. Then with your thoughts or reactions paused, you may choose to not be swept up in the whirlwind of damaging emotions and feelings.

The Energy of Positive Thought

Many of us recognise the concepts of positive thinking. You may have even applied some affirmations or similar methods to achieve things in your life. But, have you truly considered the real power and energy of thought, and how positive thinking can dramatically shape changes in your life.

Be Mindful Now

You may have applied mindfulness with the desire to relieve stress or to calm your mind. Using mindfulness is one method which allows you to focus on the present moment; offering you the opportunity to observe the world within or around you. Be more attentive to live your life now, rather than dwelling on the past or obsessively worrying about the future.
